Wedding Dress Projects (Recap)

Back in 2015, I married my husband. It was a wonderful day, and everything we had hoped the day would be. I loved my dress, Ivory, with some sparkle, and so gorgeous lace tulle.

Sadly the dress went into a moving box, shortly after the wedding, where is stayed for the past 10 years.

I kept saying, "Some day, I will do something"

Well after 10 years of marriage, we had a vow renewal....And I brought another wedding dress. My loving, and I must say patient husband, was not to thrilled with the idea of having 2 giant moving boxes, with weddings dress, in the "Some day" pile of projects.

So I had to plan some projects, that would use up most, if not all fabric of the both wedding dresses.

Below is the list of the Wedding Dress Projects that I made.

Person in a lace robe, sitting in a green chair, smiling and holding a coffee. Cozy room with plants and a quilt in the background.

My first project was the a wonderful robe, made from the original 2015 wedding.

This project was so much to make.

Learned a lot, mostly how wedding dresses are made, and carried that knowledge into my next projects.

Intricate beaded pants with floral patterns, worn with colorful socks, against a gray wall and wooden floor background.

Next up on the project list is my Wedding Dress Pants.

Made from my 10 year Wedding Re-vow Dress.

This project used a lot of techniques, especially with the pant hems.
